I think a lot about the chance we had at the start of COVID to finally become a more compassionate, collectivist nation, and how profoundly we were failed not only by the sociopathic greed of the ruling class but by each other.

It doesn’t mean we won’t get there, but the lost opportunity haunts me.

Oatly’s chief executive said greenwashing and “doom and gloom” talk around climate change had put US consumers off sustainability, as sales of plant-based dairy alternatives go into reverse after years of growth.

“In the past, when people were talking about climate change or sustainability, it was in a doom and gloom, in a punitive, in a very negative . . . way. And people got fed up with that,” said Jean-Christophe Flatin, chief executive of the oat drink maker.

Sales of plant-based milk in the US declined by 5 per cent to $2.8bn in 2024, while dairy milk sales rose by 1 per cent, according to trade group the Good Food Institute. Plant-based milk makes up about 14 per cent of total milk sales in the country.

Between 2020 and 2024, more Americans — especially the youngest (18–24) and oldest (65+) — report using no social media at all.

Last week, following the jewel heist at The Louvre, Weiss suggested they interview author Dan Brown. Staffers questioned what expertise in the matter Brown would provide CBS News viewers? Brown is well known as the bestselling author of the 2003 mystery novel, The Da Vinci Code, about a murder at The Louvre.

On Tuesday’s 9 am call, Weiss suggested a story about how people who are scared of climate change aren’t having children. “She is showing her worst self,” one CBS News journalist told Breaker. “People are running to avoid her.”

We literally do disagree about this, though. Some politicians want to take food from children and some politicians don't. Pretending this "isn't political" just allows the child-starving ghouls to get away with it.

Tell people who supports the *political program* to feed children and who doesn't!
