God, what a nasty thing to say. Plenty of people live here (in some of the most deprived areas of the country btw) and didn't vote for Reform. What we're actually 'reaping' is years of austerity and disenfranchisement brought on by successive governments who've done nothing meaningful to address it.
They thought it would be easy.

Over the next 5 yrs, 780,000 more people, the poorest, will pay income tax for the first time.
Someone earning £50,000 will pay £9,512 in tax, an increase of £1,247 because thresholds are frozen.
Can't grow economy by hitting low/middle income earners.

I assume people can see I am at least somewhat smart, but I would not have the first clue about how to buy shares or invest in funds. I get paid, the money gets spent, we save some of it. That’s it. I imagine that’s how it is for most of us.
