In Scotland, people are (very rightly) unhappy that only 4% natural woodland cover remains.

We have A LOT of this landscape and less than 4% native woodland. This should be a rich mosaic of habitats, moor, bog, woodland, montane scrub…We force it to remain in this artificial state. We don’t need to give every inch of our uplands over to sheep, grouse and deer stalking.

Chipsy Kings in Cork was a big loss for post-pints me when I was living in Cork. They did a "special cheese chip" which as far as my recreations go was chips cooked in sweet chili sauce with cheese on top. I've come close, but they were wok frying and I just can't recreate that 😔

Baked ziti is better tasting than lasagna, easier to make, and the pasta used in it is more versatile than lasagna sheets. Friendship ended with lasagna, baked ziti is my friend now

Ok phone was dead for a much shorter time than expected thankfully. Went for a cycle with my dad yesterday and it was so miserable out my phone got minor water damage lol. Was shutting itself off and refusing to charge yesterday, but after a day of drying and a few tests I think it's O.K. 🙏
My phone is (hopefully temporarily) out of comission, so I'm back to posting the old fashioned way*.
