My favourite example of this sort of thing is in The Omen. In that film, the American ambassador to the UK suddenly just fucks off to Israel with a British photojournalist and then comes back with six ancient sacrificial daggers in his luggage and its fine.
In the original "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet" short story by Richard Matheson, the guy gets rid of the gremlin by shooting it off the wing of the plane with the gun he had packed in his own carry-on luggage.
The fact that people used to smoke on airplanes is absolutely WILD.

If the man whose casual references to pizza were enough to spark a quasi-religious conspiracy movement so unhinged it led to an attempted fascist coup against the US government cannot see that the problem isn't left-wing extremism then can we all just acknowledged that centrism is a faith position?
i am once again asking who the "leftist extremists in the faculty lounge" shaping democratic party priorities are, and what policies it is that they are instituting

When your bias is towards power, the lack of neutrality inherent in facts looks like bias. The truth, of course, is that power is made of death and lies.
