Hell, if you want to stack them up as commercial studio film makers everyone knows that the director of Kelvin Trek is on the exact same wavelength as the director of the Oceans Trilogy
Well that’s certainly unfortunate. I understand and acknowledge that bay is an American patriot and that is partially why his art fascinates me. As a bisexual socialist, it’s a narrow field of artists with my exact worldview. Grant Morrison, my favourite comic writer just came out in support of AI.
Direct me to where Bay actively and openly supported trump so I can make a judgment on it.
I need a Napoleon Directors Cut physical release.
James Cameron uniting the veterans of the Predator wars.
Amber Midthunder and Walton Goggins will star in a new action thriller ‘PAINTER’

• Follows a young woman who must rescue her father after he is kidnapped

• Written by ‘John Wick' creator Derek Kolstad & produced by James Cameron

It has everything to do with it. I don’t need artists politics to align with mine. Because the art always speaks for itself.

One day Netflix will close up shop. Those movies even the bad ones deserve to live on.

Movies + TV that are only in streaming devalues them as art and giving them physical releases gives them a second chance at a new life that you can't get on streaming. Also ownership is important folks!
Do you have any extremely niche, but serious, ethical stances?
I absolutely love most of them too!
I am not going to bad-mouth Snyder (only criticize his cultists of "fans"), but I will list far better directors than Michael "I support Trump" Bay:

Rob Marshall
Jon M. Chu
Greta Gerwig
Jordan Peele
Spike Lee
Christopher Nolan
David Lowery
Chloé Zhao
Matt Reeves
Barry Jenkins
Damien Chazelle
Yup. That’s right I love movie directors!
Gonza, Bay has made one (1) streaming movie. His next movie is another Transformers because his are the only ones people went to go see.
Both things can be true.... Why do you think Bay does exclusively streaming movies for years now? Because no one showed up to his stuff.
Bad Boys is more successful now he isn't the creative behind it.

Who is this guy?

(Reads bio)

Yeah, we got ourselves a Snyder AND Bay cultist in our midst. Because, of course he is...

Those who use the phrase “history doesn’t repeat, but it rhymes” are stressing the importance of paying attention to how similar moments in history still have the unique context of whatever culture and circumstances those moments happen in. Hope this helps!
I hate the phrase “history doesn’t repeat, but it rhymes” Like, what does that even mean? Nobody who says that history repeats itself means in the literal sense. people understand that when you say “history is repeating itself” you are referring to patterns not a literal pantomime of a previous time
He’s only had like 3 flops out of a dozen movies.

Audiences in a Michael Bay movie that isn't Transformers
Well the issue was it needed less editors.

In Superman Lex kills a guy - Malik Ali - in front of Supes. Ali’s near final words? He’s honored Superman ate falafel from his food cart. Screenwriting that feels like a shitpost. The movie is full of this woeful dross
I hope Zack Snyder uses a epic slowed down version of Stan Bush’s The Touch for his next movie.
