Phantom Menace is one of my favorite star wars films. It can definitely be messy at times, but it's visually stunning, thematically engaging, and sets up the entire 6 film saga as its own mythology that carries the anti-imperial ethos of the OT, and marries it with the ethos of Greek Tragedy.

It sucks that even massive Star Wars fans have trouble getting excited for future projects now. I'll never forget the hype for The Force Awakens and The Last Jedi, I doubt they can recapture that feeling ever again.
