I wish there was more patient education on vaccines in general. It's OK if you feel bad sometimes if you get a vaccine. It's just your immune system's dry run or dress rehearsal for a real attack.
Maybe it's because we get so many vaccines as babies and toddlers (thank God) we forget how it can be

I get my butt kicked after every covid shot and 1/3 of flu shots, but that are ONE MILLION PERCENT MORE PLEASANT THAN COVID OR THE FLU.

I am baffled by this because I have had so many friends with shingles and NONE of them made it sound fun. Not one. A vaccine that made me absolutely miserable for 48 hours would still be a huge improvement over the mildest case of shingles I've heard of. (Also it made me tired for 1 day.)
