And the people who saw that and didn't nope out of there are the worse for it. It's a fantastic example of how social media sites can be used to mainline extremist propaganda if their owners so desire. And Musk basically is high on his own supply.

honestly though — like once he took control, the “for you” feed became basically all nazi shit with matt walsh, various groypers & then musk retweeting accounts with full on dogwhistles as handles calling for remigration. it’s pushed & amplified, speedrunning normalization of slurs & eugenics.

What really truly bothers me about Twitter is that Musk platformed, then monetized the darkest, most anti-social movements he could find...legitimized them to the point that mainstream reporters and most people can't even detect normal racism anymore.

So today when I meet people who vote for Republicans and they can sense I'm wary...and they try to make justifications about how they're not like OTHER Republicans...how on earth am I supposed to tell? They support them in every other way...
