My family discussed an inaugural/ongoing contest/lottery resulting in sacrificing the last family member who catches 3 chickens before dinner each year. We all agree on the basic outrages so we have to invent new ones, i guess.
Thanksgiving dinner is usually a long, exhausting affair with endless food and boring, unfocused conversation. Skip it this year in favor of a single bowl of Soylent for the table and a lightning round where each family member pitches an idea for disrupting an established industry with AI

You know what’s ripe for a comeback is the Wolves of Willoughby Chase series by Joan Aiken. Smart & non-condescending YA, fantastical without being fantasy, dark and Dickensian as hell, extremely lefty and anticapitalist, a full dozen sequels, amazing Edward Gorey covers.

Anyone local (somerville MA) who needs a bag of good dogfood (Purina Pro Plan Sporting Salmon) the dog can't have because she's on a diet or a fluffy dogbed that both my cat and dog hate?

Oh, also I've got at least one women's XL Landsend winter coat to get rid of.

NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

The email about this month's free prime books came, and the spacing of the list is just such that I wasn't totally sure which genre applied here.

"Well, that's not really a romance cover? But maybe it's a @tkingfisher.com romance cover? It is pink and purple, and those are romance cover colors?"

The people who hate him the most are also the ones who don't answer the phone to pollsters, obviously.
Very disappointing to see.

The percentage should be much higher than 61%

If I were running the DNC, there would be Democratic Party sponsored food relief banks across the country right now that specifically welcomed anyone regardless of party affiliation.

Along with the food, there could be voter registration and links to runforsomething.net
