With all the upset they had about me being on the throwdown it did feel like their biggest objection was that i was just there doing my job and being nice and friendly. The audience seeing me as just an accepted part of the cast being trusted by the potters was a threat to their entire project
the problem for transphobes is that at this point nearly everyone has met or at least interacted with a trans person and figured out that they're just people trying to live their lives. this is why they want to ban trans people from existing in public at all costs
11% of Britons say they feel 'very negatively' about trans people which just highlights how much this is a top-down hate project with around 95% of the media hating trans people and a high percentage of MPs.

yeah it's almost like trans people are ... people. i dunno. it's really tiresome, the way our healthcare gets sectioned off as if we're special. we're fucking not, is the actual truth. nothing about our healthcare is controversial—one way we know this is cis folks avail themselves of most of it too.
I have multiple cis people in my life on HRT for aging care and the amount of overlap and knowledge exchange between us is kind of astounding

It sucks that meeting a new class now involves not just going over the syllabus, setting expectations, and trying to establish a rapport, but also trying to deduce whether any of your new students are vigilante right wing operatives out to seek viral controversy at the expense of your job
If you are a chair of a department or supervise grad students, it might be important to collaborate with your colleagues on ways to strategize when a "problem essay" comes down the pike. It's one small way of protecting each other.
