This would completely swallow the rule, though. A lot of these guys need to ask themselves if they’d also obey Yoon’s late 2024 order to massacre the legislature, if he made sure to attach a legal opinion saying it was lawful.
Law prof Josh Braver notes the problem of 'manifestly unlawful' when the civilian legal authorities *say* it's lawful -- and thinks least bad outcome is the military maintains civilian supremacy even if acting illegally. Many (most?) civ-mil relatios scholars agree.

if we ever wish to see genuine science practiced again, there will need to be a reckoning where scientific fields exile every unqualified hack who only passed their classes because they hated trans people the requisite amount for bigoted admin to let them graduate.
