Inside you are two communists
Doomer Communist

Crude meme cartoon of bleary-eyed femme person in black hoodie with a hammer and sickle next to text fragments:

Sees capitalism behind all of life’s problems

Desire for revolution is secretly suicidal ideation

Activist burnout

Climate anxiety

Hopes for socialism, anticipates barbarism

Social isolation preventing real organizing work Bloomer Communist

Crude meme cartoon of smiling femme person in teal and black hoodie with a hammer and sickle next to text fragments:

Sees crises as potential for radicalization

Builds mutual aid network

Zeal for activism

Genuinely cares for other people

If GOP is indeed steadfast in destroying the College Board, the progressive agenda is to make sure nothing replaces it. The College Board is an EdTech tapeworm inside K-16 gobbling away from both ends. I’m pretty sure its GOP critics just wish they owned the tapeworm.

I've proctored dozens of AP and SAT tests at my school and never earned a single dime for any of it.

They profit off an army of teachers providing them free labor.

People should spend less time talking about what they (claim to) have read with strangers online and more time reading stuff and discussing it with people they respect, face to face.

You officially live in a “show me your papers” nation, if you were wondering how far along things are now.

And ICE took his unhoused friend.

While I understand and sympathize with your general sentiment here, “triumph of civilization” is terribly ironic praise that anyone who loves US Universities should spend some time sitting with.

Seriously, Judges *do no do things like this*

They don't give their opinion to the media

They don't criticize how SCOTUS works

This is them breaking the emergency glass, folks

Los Angeles has experienced all this, day-in and day-out, everyday for over 4 months. Literally 1000s of incidents. What’s happening now in Chicago and what has been happening in Washington, DC. Every day feels like a fucking nightmare we can’t wake up from.

It’s really demoralizing to see all the stuff ICE did in LA covered in Chicago as if they hadn’t already been doing it here for more than 3 months.

We need solidarity across the continent where we all learn from each other. It can’t be shocking when old tactics move to a new place.

If you are employed & doing pretty fine right now, set aside some money from each paycheck to dedicate to mutual aid asks. Even just $20.

Shit is really bad, the social safety net is being shredded, & truly TRULY all we have is each other right now.

I mean, some of them are. A lot of us aren’t struggling epistemically or morally, just materially and politically. The stakes are very clear right now! Unfortunately, many of those who are lack moral clarity seem to have large platforms…
