What if next time you went home for a lovely homecooked meal you instead found a smorgasbord of cuisines from all around the world, featuring delicacies and treats from every culture and background, all laid out for you to enjoy? Let's see where your so-called "tolerance" is then!
Both these options sound objectively amazing, why do racists keep assuming everyone's racist?

So no. They haven't cracked driverless cars. They've just exported drivers' jobs to the global South.

And no, it doesn't matter if they don't actually drive the cars full time. It means they can pay people even less. But clearly the AI is not capable or routinely managing driving on real roads.

I think this kind of reporting is important. Just because a state may be perceived as anti-LGBTQ - it still has Queer ppl.

I’m struck how ‘Queer’ is now so common. Up to the 70s it was usual for Gay men to describe themselves as Queer. Then it switched to Gay & Gay ppl to encompass everyone. [1]

Although it’s a clear sign that the US leadership is dumb enough to kill their own golden goose and has no secret strategy, their crippling of science will hurt the whole world.

Yes, other countries will take over leadership but the pace of knowledge will slow overall.
I'm kind of depressed to see countries like Canada frame this as an opportunity. No one benefits from the collapse of US science. And you certainly don't benefit anyone by poaching a few big names while doing no other meaningful increased investment in your own research ecosystem.

While I'm skeeting about singing, IMO Sam Cooke is the greatest male singer in blues derived music ever. Because he could tear it up like you hear him doing live in Harlem when singing to a black audience but he could be silky smooth like Bing Crosby (but with more personality) on sweeter tunes.

I just want to be able to effortlessly sing like Sam Cooke, Chris Robinson, and Etta James at will.

Is that too much to ask? How hard could it really be...

Trying quite seriously to improve my #singing in the rock/blues/rnb style. I've got to say: I think this may be the most annoying instrument to practice at home. Worse than sax. Worse than drums.

I absolutely cannot practice most of it when my partner's home. Strangled cat noises drive her mental.
