The house behind ours went up like a torch a couple of nights ago. One person was killed. I can’t describe the feeling when I went downstairs and saw the orange glow out the back and thought the outside of ours was on fire. South Africans, if you don’t have smoke alarms, get. And extinguishers.

It's funny how lib & con politics become a whole packaged deal. Like I can complain about lib policies like paper straws or high sales taxes and still believe it's of unparalleled importance to crush the nazis, but some people (among both libs & cons) have a surprisingly hard time fathoming this.

I assume people can see I am at least somewhat smart, but I would not have the first clue about how to buy shares or invest in funds. I get paid, the money gets spent, we save some of it. That’s it. I imagine that’s how it is for most of us.
