By 1913, it was the largest bicycle manufacturing company in the world.
Raleigh bicycles really helped change the world of modern transportation.

The city's most recent fatal accident occurred in early July of 2024.
Helsinki's population in 2025 is around 1,354,890.
Cycling infrastructure has been significantly upgraded in recent years.

Bike Labs are a concept where kids can get together and learn how to fix #bicycles.
They don't need a bunch of adults sitting in climate-controlled offices to plan the events.
Unlike competitive sports for children, no kids go home rivals - or losers.
No parents got in a fight over an umpire's call.

Durkopp was one of Germany’s top #bicycle manufacturers and a highly respected supplier of top quality bicycles and components ranging from the turn of the 20th Century until the late '50s.
Durkopp also produced motorcycles, scooters, automobiles, arms, tools, and still manufactures sewing machines.

JAMA study: A U.S. child was 15% to 20% more likely to have a chronic condition in 2023 than a kid in 2011. The prevalence of depression, anxiety and obesity all increased. Problems such as poor sleep, limited physical activity and loneliness also rose.

As John Lennon and Yoko Ono famously protested for world #peace in the Amsterdam Hilton in 1968, there was a #bicycle on the bed, though not because he thought it would solve congestion, or make us faster, but it was seen as a symbol for a different way of living; a symbol against brutal capitalism.
