Countless unseen hands
Gently thrum
Time’s long rubber band
Stretching through millennia;
Hope it never snaps.

Can whoever is responsible for the #BBCOlympics on iPlayer please STOP including the results in the graphics?!?! Utterly impossible for those of us trying to catch up on an event to enjoy it if we already know who won or qualified. it's INFURIATING!! #WinterOlympics #TeamGB

Time to move parliament out of London and build a new, fit-for-purpose building elsewhere in the UK. Imagine if they invested even a fraction of that total somewhere else? And the legacy financial impact of such an investment?

What a day! HUNDREDS of members were out yesterday to make sure the brilliant Hannah Spencer gets elected in Gorton and Denton. 💚

It's clear that the choice here is between Reform and the Greens. We have 25 days to prove that hope can win. Action days are super fun, join us at our next one!

if money was mass, billionaires are black holes.

they distort the shape of the universe around them. they crush and accumulate and pull in anything that gets close, just by the force of what they already have. normal rules break down in their proximity.

they are bad for human beings
this is, once again, why billionaires should not be a thing

a single person should not be able to have the kind of influence Elon does solely because of their wealth

it doesn’t matter if some folks use their money for good; the fact that it can be used this way is enough reason to disallow it

How did 'A Kiss at the End of the Rainbow' not win the Oscar in 2004?!? An absolutely beautiful song with added poignancy today. RIP Catherine O'Hara.

I think I might take one of these "under 20 minutes" AI skills courses the UK Govt. seems very keen on everyone doing and live-post it here... Maybe we can all learn something together! The press release sends me to aiskillshub.org.uk/aiskillsboost/ - let's go and see!

A fucking stupid idea from a fucking stupid government. How about more teachers working in better schools? Labour can just get in the fucking sea.
We want to make sure tutoring isn't the preserve of a lucky few, but accessible to every child who needs it.

AI can help us do that.

Safe, personalised, one-to-one learning support to help every child achieve and thrive.

We don’t need AI training sponsored by the tech firms selling it. We need AI education to help people understand what it can’t do, and what dangers lie ahead if you entrust your life to it

Would love to see this but it’ll never happen. The Clacton Clucker’s too scared of real debate. He’d rather hide behind slogans and soundbites.

A perfect analogy.
People like to think AI is their ticket to greatness, the thing that’s going break them into the big leagues. As if the tech companies are suddenly gonna be like “okay, here, you get your time now!”

It’s like giving a dog a squeak toy and the dog thinking “I’m in charge now, I control the squeaks.”
