Well, clearly, they should have communicated their withdrawal from "the fight" by drowning.

It's good—very good, and very important—that district courts keep issuing these 100-page rulings upholding the law. It must be incredibly dispiriting to see them overturned in a two-page, lawless, unsigned order, but please, keep them coming. They expose SCOTUS' corruption like nothing else.

This is undeniable.

We haven’t broadly internalized — because, after all, this is America — the depths to which we have sunk with these execrable people. The incompetence, the graft, the affection for the transgressively vile and inhumane. We don’t see it clearly, but the rest of the world does.
Whatever comes out of them, today's talks in Moscow are a diplomatic all-time low for the US. Incompetent, mercurial envoys trying to reset relations w one of the worst regimes in the world at the expense of the victim of unprovoked aggression and the security of America's best allies in Europe.

The president is a political cartoon of corruption come to life, a gaudy grifter who is selling off pardons and lining his pockets, building a golden ballroom and protecting his fellow sex predator elites, all the while regular Americans are suffering and struggling to make ends meet.

The hard fact is that hoisting Trump on his own petard by using his sobriquet of piggie is insufficient. The diminutive makes it too cute, too playful.

Donald Trump is, always has been, and always will be a pig.
Donald Trump finally posts a Thanksgiving message — and uses it to call Governor Tim Walz “seriously retarded.”

There are specific reasons Trumpists want war on Venezuela, but there‘s a generic one: they crave power to make war on anyone, any time, for completely fabricated reasons, and then to use the guise of war to increase violence and repression everywhere, including home.

They are lawless bestial scum.

What these people are doing is truly beyond words.
This is the most corrupt, lawless administration in the history of the United States and there’s no close second.

In case you’re wondering why Pete Hegseth is freaking out about a congressional video reminding the military not to participate in illegal orders:
To put a finer point on this whole thing: "Two people with direct knowledge of the operation" — presumably uniformed military leaders — are accusing the U.S. Secretary of Defense of personally ordering specific war crimes. That's a historic accusation.
Textbook war crime/extrajudicial killing

"Two survivors were clinging to the smoldering wreck. The Special Operations commander overseeing the Sept. 2 attack ... ordered a second strike to comply with Hegseth’s instructions."

Never forget this man’s name and face, and never let him forget what he is — a murdering goon.
Here is that Commander who was "just following orders."

Ah, these lucky Brazilians.

One day . . . one day, here in America. One day.
Good morning to Brazilian reporter Manuela Borges, who’s been waiting eleven years for this petty moment. ❤️ 🇧🇷

The direct, no-punches-pulled language is what we need from everyone at this point.

These people are miserable, incompetent, cowards — a thing literally no one, even those who profess to “support” these assholes — would dispute.

Yeah, I mean, you never know. It could be perfectly legal for the Executive to direct the execution of members of Congress for reminding the military that their oaths are to the Constitution. We’ll need to wait for the lawyers to weigh in.

What a miserable little fucking worm.
Mike Johnson -- who is, yes, theoretically a lawyer -- has not had a chance to look at the American Constitution because he's been very busy lately, folks, he just can't see everything, gosh, how is he supposed to know if it's wrong that the president called for the execution of congress members?
Mike Johnson on Trump calling for Democrats to be executed: "Attorneys have to parse the language and determine all that."

It remains comprehensively grotesque that a President of the United States would distribute bilge like this, but . . .

at this point, “harsh measures” threats from this clown are just increasingly ridiculous. Do your best, Depends Boy.
It's way past time for the 25th Amendment.

It is nearly impossible to capture in words how catastrophic this gross little tableu — consisting of these three execrable people — is for the rule of law in this country.

The only potential virtue is that they’re so terrible that they might provoke a sort of damage-limiting rebound reaction.
“Will you release all the files within 30 days?”

BONDI: “We’ll continue to follow the law.”🤔

“You said no addition investigation was warranted. What changed?”

BONDI: “Information.” 🙃

My expectations for this pig were already impossibly low, but this is the sort of thing that - out in the real world - gets the sloppy asshole who said it punched directly in his jowly fucking gob.
I don't know why the "Piggy" thing is bothering me so much. It's one more unforgivable thing in a list of 20,000 unforgivable things, but I've been mad about it for like 12 straight hours.

It is never not delightful to see very bad people who’ve done a very bad thing back on their heels, scrambling to dissemble their way out of their horrible behavior, but just . . . just . . . digging their hole ever deeper.
Comey prosecutors are really scrambling now. Just filed an emergency motion to block the magistrate judge's order that the GJ materials be disclosed.

In it they seem to suggest there wasn't two indictments! But Halligan told the court there was!!

This couldn’t be more accurate.

The Republican Party’s principal purpose now is to use its control over the legislature to protect Trump from the consequences of disgusting behavior that our country — and all civilized societies — have criminalized for centuries.

It’s indescribably gross.
Trump did the thing, everyone knows he did the thing, and he's got an entire political party and associated media apparatus trying to cover up his clear involvement in the thing. One of the sickest, most sordid chapters in an especially sick and sordid period of modern American history.

After yesterday’s surrender, we’re launching the largest Democratic primary program that we’ve ever run.

We will not back any Senate primary candidate unless they call for Schumer to step down as Minority Leader.

If you’re as pissed as we are, join this campaign to rebuild the Democratic Party. 👇
Democratic leaders have failed us again. It's time to get new leaders.
After yet another capitulation by Chuck Schumer and Senate Democrats, it's clear we need new leadership capable of mounting a serious opposition to Trump's authoritarian regime. We're launching our la...
