Honestly I always found the art style of the Hoyoverse to be incredibly bland, so them using AI in any capacity doesn’t surprise me.
Players of the beta for upcoming Hoyo title Petit Planet have noticed there’s an AI chatbot featured and at least one barista NPC whose dialogue is generated by AI

Fans of their titles are defending it saying “this is a good use of AI” and “you can’t stop AI at this point.”

unbelievably cruel, callous and unwarranted.
BREAKING: Yesterday Grand Theft Auto VI maker Rockstar Games fired dozens of people, all of whom were involved in union efforts. A British union calls it "blatant and ruthless" union-busting. Take-Two Interactive says it was due to misconduct.

Maybe in YOUR head, lady, but in my circle it was always dirtbag slacker radicals and edgelord nihilists, sometimes coexisting in the same skull.

Trump's concentration camps are exactly like they always are
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

Frankenstein is available to stream on Netflix today, so expect a bunch of “I don’t get the big deal” takes from people uninterested in the movie who half-watched it on their phones.

You may think this is an easy one, but what if you're a billionaire already planning to have retreated to an underground bunker in ten years, and need a technology which can persuade everyone else that everything is fine, really?
A fun question. In 5 years time, what looks better? The US’s enormous bet & capex on AI? Or China’s equally enormous bet and capex on renewables?
China has made cheap, clean energy available in huge quantities. The world should take the win econ.st/4oqFszB

What's deeply funny about this:

It's mostly tied to 10 year targets around robo taxis and Tesla sales figures he has zero chance of meeting.

So it's just pure delusion on all sides. 12 year old brains doing 12 year old 'cool' things all round.

I have literally thousands of hours in Rockstar games, including GTA even back when it was a top-down game. Won't be buying any more though.

The Israel propaganda powered itself so utterly for so long that no one needed to tend to it. Now that people are looking to shove out Schumer they really don't have anything left to get their way other than impotent tantrums.

I learned about where hamsters came from and it was so horrible that I thought it was a racist shitpost, but I looked into it later and it was truthful. The domestic hamster was made by Zionists in a project to make a signature Israeli animal testing rodent

Games industry forces RTOs (often involving moving cities for a job that may not exist in a few months) because being in office together on zoom is just ~*so heckin valuable*~

but then replaces as many people as they can get away with with chatbots because the human connection doesn’t matter

Hmm!

A trillionaire is a parasitic scourge on society and absolutely should not be a thing to exist.

I can't even comprehend how much that is.

The average US worker would take between 40-70 THOUSAND years to become a billionaire.

A trillionaire? 16 MILLION YEARS.

I remember reading "If trans women actually did have an athletic advantage, every country would be shutting up about it and trying to turn us into Olympians". Similarly, "if something actually could induce suicide, every country would be shutting up about it and using it to kill kids"
Our politicians did more to regulate Prince and Twisted Sister songs than glacier melting chatbots that promote suicide
We had fucking congressional hearings over Mortal Kombat.

Game company sows misinformation to cover up union busting, fans fall for it, actual employee posts explaining the employees were fired to prevent the studio unionizing

This is *unacceptable*
This wasn’t about leaking GTA VI.

It was:
Rockstar illegally firing union members to stop the studio from unionizing.

it directly contradicts Rockstar’s PR narrative and confirms almost everything that people suspected was going on.

This one really pisses me off cause the IRS had to develop it in secret to avoid getting turned political, and Trump junked it in one year, starting the whole process over again. MAGA!

Reminder that they had to split this film into two parts and reshoot the entire third act because the crew was not aware until *after* they had cast, shot and edited it that they had violated a signed agreement between the Chandlers and Jackson's estate against dramatising the sexual abuse case
