I invite you to pause, gaze, and enjoy a moment of meditation from nature itself. With alt tags, too. If this abstract photography moves you, let’s talk! I love placing my art out in the world, raising our collective vibrations one flower at a time. 🌸🌿

I would have to trim som lower branches but otherwise yes. Here is a photo. You can see the large shadow to the side as it's late afternoon now. I'd say it's doubled in size in about 4 years.
Large desert willow tree in the afternoon sun. Hummingbird feeder in front for scale.
I have a desert willow over here in Santa Fe and it is a gorgeous tree, very drought hardy, withstands the winds from my living on top of a hill, and produces gorgeous, orchid-like flowers! I consider it a miracle.
Terrific piece. Just leaving me a bit confused about your contrarian vibe on the original posts here. Carry on!
Partially, as you said you didn't like it, and you gave them the benefit of the doubt. In my opinion, we have to stop doing that when the track record is so one-sided in the wrong direction for democracy. Thanks for the clarification though. I appreciate it.
Stop the presses! We found a really rich good person! 👏🎉❣️
Billionaire Venture capitalist Ron Conway has resigned from the Salesforce Foundation after Marc Benioff called on President Trump to send in the national guard to San Francisco.

The NYT obtained the email Conway sent to Benioff.

Full Story: bit.ly/46Wylca
"Your obsession with and constant annual threats to move Dreamforce to Las Vegas is ironic, since it is a fact that Las Vegas has a higher rate of violent crime than San Francisco," Mr. Conway wrote. "San Francisco does not need a federal invasion because you don't like paying for extra security for Dreamforce."
And sadly, your comment is not valid.

Why race to the bottom when democracy is hanging by a thread just "because occasional human error"?
He has the body language of a silver spooned, born on third base putz.

The Congressional Black Caucus’s silent partnership with AIPAC

www.thenation.com/article/soci...
Yet to this day, the Congressional Black Caucus—the long-standing corps of lawmakers dedicated to safeguarding civil rights (and known as “the conscience of Congress”)—has not issued a formal declaration condemning Israel; it hasn’t even produced a statement calling for a ceasefire. The CBC’s silence isn’t accidental: More than half of its current 61 members have been endorsed or funded by the American Israel Public Affairs Committee, the powerful US lobbying arm for Israel’s agenda. In the 2023–24 election cycle alone, AIPAC endorsed 26 of the caucus’s members, raising $4.6 million for them and another $3.5 million for Black Democratic candidates.
Endorse!
imagine if we gave the entire staff of the New York Times a little psilocybin to break down some rigid walls and then shoveled them off to therapy

what a world we could build

Again, it is a full-blown federal felony crime for anyone in the White House or Executive Office of the President to order tax investigations into anyone.

And it's not just a crime to DO it, it's even a federal crime for an employee not to REPORT such an order to the Treasury Inspector General.

I am sounding the alarm that the GOP is engaged in an all out attack voting rights and free and fair elections. Voter suppression, gerrymandering, and troops in blue cities are just some of the ways they are using to try to rig the rules to keep power in 2026 and beyond.

Pay attention and act!
So do we regular citizens! Keep digging and following this story, please!
Thank you. Is it still in business?
This is a pretty interesting way to watch a movie. Really great training for delayed gratification. Hopefully the little baby is picking up on that virtue. 🤓
This is the way, here and now.

Alt text everything. This is a deep purple orchid that looks magenta in the sunshine.
Alas, someone here told me that he also used to work for Blackwater. Let's hope he's changed his stripes and is not a plant because heaven knows we are all desperate for someone besides Susan Collins and Janet Mills is too old.
Fantastic! Congratulations, Barry.
Wejia not at all the right person for the job at this time. She climbed the ladder on both sides.

“the constitution forbids race conscious remedies” would be news to the people who wrote the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments
Griem goes there, arguing in response to Justice Jackson that there can be no race-conscious remedy absent a finding of intentional discrimination.

Friendly reminder that Tidal ($10.99) is now cheaper than Spotify ($11.99), delivers better audio quality, pays its artists 2x as much, and generally doesn't allow AI slop.

Dear Janet Mills,

I have received four unsolicited text messages asking for money from you today. I do not live in Maine and I have never lived in Maine. Please read the room. You are too old. Support a progressive younger candidate for your state — that you have served so well.

Thank you.

NEW: Mother Jones has learned that Bill Pulte himself committed an error in his own financial filings—the same kind of mistake that he has used to attack Trump’s political rivals.
The attack dog targeting Trump opponents over their paperwork hasn’t even filed his own
As chairman of the board of Fannie Mae, Bill Pulte was required to file a disclosure form with the SEC. He didn’t.
