My review of ANNE OF MANHATTAN is on IG/SG. Anne Shirley is a grad student in NYC. She & Diana run into Gilbert Blythe in a bar. He’s back to finish school & they work on a project together. Matthew & Marilla own a Long Island vineyard. Anne & Gil forever! It’s a sweet retelling with some spice. 🌶️📚💙

As I worked my way through 3 states to visit the 18-year old at UNL, I had to make a stop at The Bookworm in Omaha, Nebraska, to pick up a signed copy of @rainbowrowell.bsky.social’s gorgeous book SLOW DANCE. I’ve waited a long time to own this book purchased from the author’s local bookstore. 📚💙

I made my way across Iowa this weekend, and, of course, I had to take time to visit a couple of windmills.

Pella, Iowa, is a Dutch community with a new Dutch stelling molen.

Elk Horn, Iowa, is a Danish community with an old Danish windmill with a fantail.
