If I may add one to this helpful list: “low man/bottom of the totem pole.” That position is actually a *high* honor bc it is the foundation holding everyone else. It is not a low ranking figure at all

Still constant helicopters overhead. Abandoned work trucks where neighbors have been kidnapped by ICE. Armed national guard walking the streets. Feds posting up in former unhoused spaces to keep people away.

I’m very very tired of “living in fear” being lobbed at maskwearers by people who frequently say they can’t wear one because no one else around them is.

Living in fear is ignoring science and endangering lives and your own health because you’re terrified of not fitting in.

The trailblazing transgender rights activist Miss Major has passed away at the age of 78.

Miss Major was a lifelong organizer and participant in the ballroom scene. She took part in the 1969 Stonewall Riots and was injured by the police — but she kept fighting.
