I mean this with sincerity, I want to move to Minnesota. I've had an unexplainable fondness for a state I've never visited and have no connection to for most of my life. But this month has put me in awe of its people.
I want to move to there.

Ship these ICE agents to Sealand. We do not need them here.
ICE detain yet another minor child—chase him down his own street and tackle him to pavement.

"I am legal! I am legal!" he cries over and over in Spanish.

Agent pins the boy down in snow—he desperately tries to keep his exposed hands from freezing at -25°F wind chill temperature.

The most important thing we can do right now is be talking about all the terrible things this administration is doing to make sure more and more people find him the abhorrent creature he is.

And it is working. Just look at Minneapolis.

Minneapolis is the model, and they've brought me much hope.

Man, he really sucks at this whole politicking thing. He's just genuinely awful at his one job.
Q: A school district alleges ICE agents detained a 5 year old after preschool. Are you proud of how you're conducting this immigration crackdown?

JD VANCE: The 5 year old was not arrested. His dad was an illegal alien. So the story is that ICE detained a 5 year old -- what are they supposed to do?

The grimness of US history should encourage us. Yes, people used to send lynching postcards. And other people saw that, worked towards building a more just society anyway, and succeeded beyond anyone's wildest imagination. There's more work to be done. What's our excuse for choosing despair instead?
I understand and appreciate the fact that for some it is genuinely uncomfortable and distracting to think about how grim US history is. yes, that is strategically relevant, and no, I wouldn't put "did you know people used to send lynching photos to each other as postcards?" on a recruitment flyer

America is a state of mind, and a lot of white Americans have forgotten that or are out right rejecting it. Non-white Americans have always been the shining soul of Americanism and well past time the rest of us find that soul again.
A lot of non-white Americans love this country in a way that white Americans truly do not and cannot understand. This is, incidentally, the thing I love most about this country.

This certainly feels like a weak leader flailing to keep his caucus together rather than some grand strategy to help Trump.

Just absolute loser shit.
Speaker Mike Johnson now supports the push inside his party to bring impeachment articles against judges perceived as antagonistic of President Donald Trump’s agenda — a notable shift for the Louisiana Republican who over the summer sought to squelch such effort.

The constitutional remedy for a government that conspired in secret to systematically violate the Fourth Amendment is impeachment of all officials involved, removal, disqualification, and criminal prosecution.
At a time of unprecedented daily scandals, this this whistleblower complaint, and the memo it reveals for the first time, breaks through for me as beyond the pale.

It's the federal government conspiring in secret to subvert the Fourth Amendment.

It's wild how much this is true. I could articulate policy positions in any number of areas but the ultimate effect is "punish the villains." And you know what, I think I'm no longer mumbling it. That might just be the lead position, with policy on the how to follow.
All of my political views and policy ideas have basically collapsed to "Punish the Villains" and I mumble it to myself every time I see a news article these days

I'm sure I'm not alone in noticing how much angrier this website is this month, and i don't think it's isolated. In my daily life people are more stressed, more tired, more punchy. The weight of this shit is getting to everyone, whether they realize it or not. This anger is going to go somewhere.

Re ICE actrocities in MN, I’ve already said that lately I feel consistently angrier than I’ve ever felt in my long life.

But I also feel absolutely heartsick. That poor little 5-year old baby kidnapped, imagining how scared he was…

I know many of you feel the same. Love and solidarity to you.
