I can only assume that the Dem senators who are throwing the country under the bus are every bit as deserving of the “fascist” label as the Republican population in Congress. What evidence is there that they aren’t?

Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.

Re-upping: is this what happens when you go to an orchestra concert these days? I would guess professional more likely than amateur or academic, but anywhere I’d like to hear about it.
Is it a thing again that orchestras play “The Star-Spangled Banner” to begin every concert? Are your local orchestras doing this?

Actually interviewed for a church position there some months ago. Wow, am I glad it went nowhere. I’ve lived in districts with awful representation before (Eric Cantor and Dave Brat come to mind) but boy howdy, this would have provoked madness.
