“For, while the tale of how we suffer, and how we are delighted, and how we may triumph is never new, it always must be heard. There isn't any other tale to tell, it's the only light we've got in all this darkness.”
James Baldwin, Sonny's Blues

"O, wonder!
How many goodly creatures are there here!
How beauteous mankind is! O brave new world,
That has such people in't."

Yeah. Its a mixed bag, because the same forces that allow some to cut though messaging meant to protect and prop up the powerful can also give license for people to distrust attempts at public safety.

It's a prime number, so yeah, weird.

It's all a part of her painfully elaborate backstory as an early convert to Decepticonism before the Great War left her disillusioned.

Swords/Blade Bard is my alltime fave. As for ones I wish existed, Need a Clown/Jongleur.

Yearly discussion of poverty and industrialized cannibalism with “A Modest Proposal” by Swift. Each year I get a bit less reserved and a bit more forceful in hammering the points home. More conservative with age my ass.

I grew up in an apartment that had one, but it was automatic not manual. Still a touch unnerving.

Counterpoint: Side quests allowing you to modify/vary things like pacing and tone is part of what can make a game great.

So It's certainly a question of "what makes an indie?"
Is Call of Cthulhu and indie game? Was it at one point?
Fate?
Probably Red Markets was the Indie Game that best inspired me to get more, even if I wasn't going to run many of them. Just to read for their own intrinsic value.

For tons of folks, there was that -one- game that blew the doors open and showed what #TTRPGs could be. The one that started the #IndieGame rabbit hole.

What was YOUR "gateway" indie #TTRPG? The first one that made you realize a whole other world was out there?

Gotta love the great work you did with Catman.

Chicago priest Fr. Larry Dowling describes procession to ICE facility: “No one had the courage to speak directly to us. No one from Homeland Security could stand in the presence of the Monstrance holding the Blessed Sacrament. No wonder. Evil is repelled, recoils in the presence of Christ.”

A great film with some excellent performances as I recall.

A fine examination of a fascinating setting. I had some of the materials when first released. I really think creating a high lvl campaign setting using Birthright could be a solid option for a new setting in the current or a future edition.

#1 example of a film that has grown on me over the years. Possibly now one of my faves by Arnold.

Not one I have so will investigate further. Right now it’s between Dread and WHPA until I get home to actually look at the game library.

Debating what #ttrpg system to use for a Halloween one shot game. The broad plot right now involves internet performers staying in a haunted house.
