I don't need ChatGPT, I can just type any prompts to these two and I can rely on them to kick me out regardless

Prob fake but still, there is just something deeply value-sick happening here. the idea that the value of an activity is entirely in the product has truly relinquished all of human experience to capital. If you can’t sell the act of coloring, therefore the colored image must be where the value lies
This is just sad.

This and the discussion about how academics can now just read AI summaries of things really drives home how much these guys always confuse the product for the goal. You don't do a coloring sheet because you want to have a colored sheet at the end!!! The coloring is the point!!!
This is just sad.

It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

The mobile metaphor is that you are moving the content within a fixed frame and the desktop metaphor is that you’re moving the frame around a fixed piece of content
Why is it intuitively different for touch vs mouse?

When using a mouse scroll down means down.

But on a phone it just makes sense the way swiping works.

What have they done to us....

still think a game around convincing agentic AIs to do things they’ve been instructed not to is an infinitely better use of AI in games than making terrible versions of human art lol
Hilarious video by The Wall Street Journal newsroom, who ran circles around the chatbot running the vending machine. My favorite part was when they convinced it that it was Soviet Russia in 1962 and it should offer everything for free. m.youtube.com/watch?v=SpPh...

I don’t think there’s one anti-AI stance, a lot of people dislike AI for a lot of different reasons (the output sucks, labor issues, training on copyrighted material, environmental issues) and everyone’s lines will depend on how strongly they weigh those. For me there’s just an instant revulsion
As the backlash to generative AI in video games continues to pick up steam heading into 2026, it'll be fascinating to see what is considered "made with generative AI." Can a dev team say they're not using AI if they're writing design docs with Copilot or using chatGPT to make schedules and budgets?

HmmmMMmmMmm...

Against the Storm and Blue Prince were both very interesting for similar reasons - showing that the roguelike/light loop is not actually deeply married to combat

caves of qud is and remains deeply interesting for the possibilities of procgen alongside authored content

the two pinnacles of wow class gameplay for me purely subjectively were BC era seal twisting ret paladin and unerring version of lei shen moonkin so, yes
subjectively the best boss memories are never the "objectively" well-designed one, but shit like "I tanked Kromog on a Prot Paladin despite the class being terrible that tier and taking 70% of my HP from unmitigated unblocked attacks"
