I used to draw stuff, and still do sometimes. Semi-feral backwoods ADHD-haver, iOS dev, and wildlife rehabber. He/Him.

Yeah that’s not even my thing and I intuitively know it wouldn’t work, lol

I told you porn is a good thing.
Keep it up lol
Ah shit, I hate when I do that.
I am not a trained welder. I *literally* learned how to weld by watching YouTube videos.

Weird to see chants of “USA! USA!” at these rallies that I was assured were “Hate America” rallies.
No Kings Miami, best turn put to-date #nokings
That is one big-ass pumpkin
I plan on adding assorted tool holders and hooks, and chains/brackets to retain the gas tanks, but that’ll be later. Right now I just needed a place to put everything that I can actually roll around as needed.
Finished making a welding cart today.

Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”
That’s true, I meant that some of the techniques by Chinese devs are usable to create ethical models. Whether they’re actually doing that or not, I have no idea. Probably not though.

Pretty much every single one of these new government accounts is posting rage bait. It's possible (like 100% guaranteed) they are trying to provoke people here on purpose, so don't fall for it. Blockity block block block.
Gotta block ‘em all!
Here’s the one-stop shopping blocklist to disappear the Trump regime accounts that swarmed Bluesky yesterday.
Flush these turds HERE -

I like the blue eyes.

Brass would look pretty awesome on these.
I wanted to either be an artist or an entomologist when I was a kid.

How the fuck did I wind up being an iOS developer.

That is really cool
More US government accounts migrated here, obviously taken over by twenty-something groyper Nazis, and the twitter shitlords who hate brown people and queers followed them like flies behind a honey wagon.

Block early, block often.
This is such a wealthy dipshit thing to do, lol
Yeah, the one I saw was a chicken strapped to a drone. Had to be “that guy” who explained that it’s fake to everyone who sent it to me.

It's only been a few days since Sora was released and I'm already SO DONE with the number of fake wildlife videos flooding social media.

Comments like "I didn't know a deer could do that"-- they can't! They can't do that! See the Sora logo, it's fake!
I’m sure they did anticipate it, but opted to ignore the problem.
It’s not great, but it’s something.

So we’re emiting less CO2 per given unit of economic activity, but we’re doing a lot more of it.

I’m hopeful that the incredible boom in renewables will continue to offset this.
Good news: carbon intensity has declined

Bad news: carbon emissions increased, due to the rapid rise in world GDP

Also bad news: the chance of staying below 2°C remained low, at 17%

Better news: chance of going above 3°C has gone down substantially, from 26% to 9%

Okay, for the folks who asked: here's the majority AI view, writing up the reasonable, thoughtful view on AI that the vast majority of people in tech hold, that gets overshadowed by the bluster and hype of the tycoons trying to shill their nonsense. anildash.com/2025/10/17/t... Please share!

For every half hour or time it might save me researching stuff, it’s costing me about 2-4 as I have to drop everything and explain to my managers why the code samples they gave me are total bullshit.
But I’m also an iOS developer, and within *extremely* narrow parameters, it has been useful for me.

It’s also been an absurd time sink when given to unskilled managers who get to pretend that they’re real programmers all of a sudden.

So far it’s a net negative for me, but that because of humans.
I’m *extremely* skeptical of AI as it’s being advertised. It uses human language to take advantage of human cognitive vulnerabilities that every stage magician, con artist, or skilled salesperson can recognize.
