I plan on adding assorted tool holders and hooks, and chains/brackets to retain the gas tanks, but that’ll be later. Right now I just needed a place to put everything that I can actually roll around as needed.

Finished making a welding cart today.

The base of the welding cart I wanted to make. It’s made from scrap and an old rusty twin bed frame. The wheels are new though.

Both sides that will hold inert gas tanks complete.

Added the old scroll saw table that I don’t use for anything onto it.

And now it’s full of all the welding junk that had no place to stay before.

That’s true, I meant that some of the techniques by Chinese devs are usable to create ethical models. Whether they’re actually doing that or not, I have no idea. Probably not though.

It’s not great, but it’s something.

So we’re emiting less CO2 per given unit of economic activity, but we’re doing a lot more of it.

I’m hopeful that the incredible boom in renewables will continue to offset this.

For every half hour or time it might save me researching stuff, it’s costing me about 2-4 as I have to drop everything and explain to my managers why the code samples they gave me are total bullshit.

But I’m also an iOS developer, and within *extremely* narrow parameters, it has been useful for me.

It’s also been an absurd time sink when given to unskilled managers who get to pretend that they’re real programmers all of a sudden.

So far it’s a net negative for me, but that because of humans.

I’m *extremely* skeptical of AI as it’s being advertised. It uses human language to take advantage of human cognitive vulnerabilities that every stage magician, con artist, or skilled salesperson can recognize.
