As someone who really likes working in Unreal Engine because of its phenomenal quality of life tools, this makes me really sad.
I should add an NPC character type that's an AI-Bro with name halves pulled from a list of known famous AI bros so the player can kill them ingame so I feel better.

What a great day to be thankful for what you have! Once you start to see the value in “obsolete” technology, it’s impossible to justify just how short our upgrade cycles have become.
Call me crazy, but I think TVs, phones, computers, etc SHOULD last for decades.

quick oldschool material test in photoshop in the vein of the goldsrc mod work i was doing in the mid 00s, just photoshop filters & basic round brush used, all mouse work.

writing NPC dialogue is one of those important details that make game worlds feel lived in, and it's a great source for gags and character details in the same way that background details are. stuff like Adam Jensen's apartment in DXHR being stuffed to the gills with sugary cereals with goofy brands.
