🧪 NEW STUDY with oh-no findings:

Nitrates from farm run-off (manure, synthetic fertilizers) are altered by soil microbes in ways that make them more chemically reactive and able to mobilize naturally occurring uranium out of rock and…into drinking water aquifers. 😳

What does it say about this country that that the kind of open, rank bigotry Trump administration officials regularly express towards black immigrants apparently has no social cost because of the number of Americans who quietly agree or don't care.

Basically: the *best* way to counter project 2025 would be to not have spent the last 50 years fucking about.

The second best way would be to present literally any indication they have begun to stop fucking about with people's lives, and be just as dedicated to basically *anything*

Now, when this 50 year process has resulted in a 900 page long carefully presented list of specific actions, the question really is:

Where is the 900 page list of specific concrete actions the democrats want to take to oppose that list? Where is the proof they are willing to be as relentless?

In those 50 years of republicans' single-minded dedication to passing this legislation in any way possible, accepting the smallest wins as proof this dedication works, democrats have not *once* had a similar motivating force.

50 years of dedicated effort on one side, j/o gestures on the other.

Ask anyone marginalized, and they'll point to how for *them* a hell of a lot of project 2025 has already happened to them.

That very scary bullet point you want to point out? It's already been a reality for a generation, for some people.

One problem with running on "look at how bad project 2025 is!" is that it is the culmination of 50 years of republican actions, single-mindedly dedicated to it.

Republicans spent the last 50 years trying to do every single bullet-point in it, repeatedly.

Very similar to the trans-kids panic, where the prestige media narrative is that it's far too easy but you talk to any trans person, expert or parent and it's obvious that it's way too hard.
Once again, no one making these claims seems to understand the enormous hurdles in the way of getting a kid the help they need - in this case - I dare anyone suggesting this to go through an IEP process.

For me, a new phase of the pandemic began in May ’22, when I took more serious notice of troubling scientific studies that weren’t being reported by the media. It then dawned on me, like in a horror movie, that the government was going to simply nope out of COVID—& that everyone would follow suit.
Some say
this pandemic began
on November 30, 2019
as that was the day
of the first confirmed Covid case.

And some say
this pandemic began
on March 11, 2020
as that was the day
of the WHO’s pandemic declaration.

But I think all would say
this pandemic
has lasted far too long.

All of the 80 people killed thus far are wanton murders slain under illegal orders. All of them.
