That he feels he can say this, publicly, is 100% Doug Ford giving this behaviour his approval. This should be an embarrassing secret bro takes to his grave. The way these people drive & treat others will be related too. The sociopathic lid is off.

During WW1 there was a rumour that aspirin caused the Spanish Flu. As I was writing about that last year I often shook my head in disbelief at the stupidity of our near ancestors. Seems a lot of people are still dumb enough to believe nonsense.

One reason society is so broken is that suburban life requires elevated extroversion, executive function, and planning ability to fulfill basic needs, at a time when online is rapidly degrading all of these at a population level.

This is huge: “A drug that provides near-perfect protection against H.I.V. with shots just twice a year will be made available at $40 per patient annually in low- and middle-income countries, offering new hope… making lenacapavir a realistic choice in countries with constrained resources.”

“We are told by leaders that we are the future. But when it comes to the ongoing pandemic, our present is being stolen right in front of our eyes.”

Incredible speech by Violet Affleck who warned about the ongoing dangers of COVID & Long Covid, & advocated for masks and clean air at the UN today!

Saw a post by an escape room employee saying they have to tell people ChatGPT won't solve the puzzles for them and... the point of an escape room is to use your brain to solve puzzles because it's fun. That is the whole point. What are you paying for

I get that the news cycle is packed right now, but I just heard from a colleague at the Smithsonian that this is fully a GIANT SQUID BEING EATEN BY A SPERM WHALE and it’s possibly the first ever confirmed video according to a friend at NOAA

According to data provided by Statscan to the OECD, Canada's tertiary education system is experiencing BY FAR the fastest public disinvestment of any country in the developed world. (I am not sure the specific figures are 100% accurate, but the conclusion is still irrefutable)

My latest newsletter is about how generative AI companies are risking the lives of the most vulnerable by releasing tools that affirm dangerous delusions -- and the potential human consequences.

And it's about why nobody seems to be freaking out about it.

How many people will generative AI kill before we actually care?
Too many.

It is naive to ask in 2025 what Russia's motives might be for sending fighter jets and drones into NATO territory. The motives are clear – gathering information and testing defensive capabilities and willingness to respond. It is no longer a matter of provocation—these are planned offensive actions.

I did a deep-dive into Ben Mulroney's extracurricular activities:

At the same time as Mulroney is filling-in as host of The West Block, he is also working for two registered lobby groups and as an adviser to several companies – some of whose CEOs he's interviewed on Global News 640 Toronto radio
Ben Mulroney is blurring the lines between journalism, business, lobbying and partisan politics

The new host of Global News’ national political news show also works for registered lobby groups, advises businesses and hosted election events for Pierre Poilievre’s Conservatives earlier this year
