I guess I'm one of the only weirdos that remembers they've been selling this since 2019? Although I think it was online only until very recently

Obama won in part because people were sick and tired of Bush’s approach to governance, including the attacks on civil liberties and starting illegal

And Obama promised change and then didn’t even stop the abuses of executive power

If you want to ask how we got here, we can’t memory hole that

In our near term Snowcrash future, disaster operations in Texas will be contracted out to HEB. For the rest of the south it will go to waffle house

Been watching a lot of Kitchen Nightmares recently to distract myself from the horrors, and I've decided the show's basic premise is "men would rather sink $1 million into a restaurant than go to therapy"

For some reason I heard this in the Law & Order VO guy's voice
Chatbots — LLMs — do not know facts and are not designed to be able to accurately answer factual questions. They are designed to find and mimic patterns of words, probabilistically. When they’re “right” it’s because correct things are often written down, so those patterns are frequent. That’s all.

Sadly you're only allowed to use the "scrambled eggs" version of Yesterday though
Now’s your chance to use The Beatles for needledrops on your streaming series

I did an event in DC & there was a party for donors etc after. Was talking to 2 ppl & I said "Things are so bad." They said "No this is how it is. Things swing one way, then another. It's normal."

That's when I realized why Dems are toothless. They have no idea what this is. Frogs boiling in water.

People seem to forget the (multiple) episodes of Star Trek where all the people who programmed the computer running their society died and their children were so dumb they started worshipping the computer as a god
The speed of writing code has never, and will never be the bottleneck.

The bottleneck, the limiting factor, is always in the thinking about the code and how it works, understanding it.

People who use chatgpt to write code are literally removing the only part of programming that is actually useful.

"Meanwhile, every version of "Braindead" eludes German audiences, where it remains illegal to present to the public."

This is a funny misunderstanding of the situation in Germany because, sure, it's technically illegal to distribute it there, the worst that happens is they confiscate the copies.
Peter Jackson's Original Cut Of This Banned Horror Movie Is Still Impossible To Watch - SlashFilm
Peter Jackson has promised a restoration of his gory horror-comedy with the cut he intended, but until then, his original vision is a mystery.

Probably the only time in history where you could make a movie whose entire premise was "remember 11 years ago? That was way better than now, right?"
I have read all the Star Wars discourse and concluded that more people should watch American Graffiti

Reminds me of a horror movie I saw where the writers didn't understand how classic (tank) water heaters work and it totally pulled me out of the movie
Why are Hollywood writers always insisting on the wet phone in rice myth and also why are Hollywood writers always pretending iPhones aren’t water resistant.

Okay, I'm not going to subtweet anyone here, but after trying to explain (just via my best guess, working in this industry) what's going on here, and why the storage business can't "just sell" this film... I get why all the librarians hate when those dumpsters full of books posts come up.
