It’s the second entry in a trilogy comprising WandaVision, Agatha, and VisionQuest. They might bring it back in the future but not any time soon. As of right now, it was created as a miniseries and it’s done.

My buddy is a big Tron fan and was excited about the prospect of a new movie UNTIL he saw that Leto was attached. And I just keep seeing this being said for a lot of people, so it's looking like it's very much a singular point of failure for it bombing THIS hard.

Sure Tron is pretty niche, but there's a dedicated cult following there. It was never going to set the box office afire because of that, but I think the bigger, if not biggest, problem here was a lead actor that is notoriously box office poison. But I don't cut the studio checks so what do I know?

The only Black woman artist that I can recall Madonna's admitting to being an influence was Donna, which like duh? Obviously?

"yes, and" was clearly influenced by "Vogue," but that also circles back to Madonna's appropriating from underground cultures/Black sounds

Ariana has name checked Madonna as a reference point/influence and collabed with her. Madonna's a clear influence on some of her sound, but vocally? That's Mariah's child to the core.

This whole thing also skips over the likes of Cyndi Lauper who I would argue was a bigger influence on some

Britney is more the daughter of Janet than she is Madonna. Taylor has nothing to do with Madonna apart from being a savvy businesswoman. I'll grant that Katy, Ariana, and Gaga are clearly influenced by her, yeah. But this completely ignores that likes of Grace Jones, Donna Summer, etc.
