I hope I have given fidelity, and that everyone viscerally understands:
You will have to come through me.
Under proposed legislation here in Iowa, my retweeting of this would cost me my teaching license – if I were a teacher.
even if there was good reason to set aside his repellant past i don't know why we have to treat the people like him and kirk who cut their teeth arguing with 19 year olds well into their thirties like members of a serious intellectual tradition

Huh. Guess I'll stay the course.

(I would stay the course anyway, I'm stubborn like that.)

1/2 Johnson County recently adopted a proclamation celebrating World Hijab Day. A photo posted to our Facebook page quickly became the most viewed and interactive post – ever – with much of the responses expressing villainy.

Yes, a legislative subcommittee did today advance a bill sponsored by the governor over my decision to defy the governor's order that we honor C Kirk.

We are never getting Medicare for All with mutual aid. We are getting it with Big Government.

In all of human history, it has always taken Big Government in all its might to redistribute income from the wealthy to the poor, to pay doctors and nurses to care for those who need care.

Some years ago, I was chatting with a Retropolis reader, a young history student, and I mentioned there were several dozen people enslaved in New Jersey up until the day the 13th Amendment kicked in in December 1865.

Y’all. He identified every one of them.

Anyhoo, we had The Iowa Caucuses™ tonight and I can reveal that, across The People's Republic of Johnson County, there wasn't any election interference.

Not sure how the goon squad is going to suppress the vote across the nation if they couldn't even monkey wrench this.

"Race traitor" conforms to the law that every accusation is a confession.
People willl write a lot about the surnames of these agents, but as I wrote in Police and the Empire City, immigrants and descendants that become cops do so for social, cultural, and racial mobility—becoming “whiter” by proving they can do racial violence on behalf of the state, even against kin.

Next time someone asks you about energy and land use, maybe remind them that the ~35 million acres that currently grow corn for ethanol in the US could produce ~15 PWh per year of electricity from solar photovoltaics. That's ~3.5 times more than *total annual generation from all US power plants*.

Judge Biery also quotes the challenge of Ben Franklin. Mark my words:
We will keep it.
Judge Biery signed the order with a photo of Liam and two bible verses: The first is "But Jesus said, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the kingdom of heaven." The second is simply "Jesus wept."

Astonishing thing for a judge to do.

A depraved and defining characteristic of the regime is how much of a death cult it is.
federal immigration enforcement should legitimately be low risk and mostly paperwork, they’ve turned it into paramilitary work (without paramilitary training) because they’re hoping ICE and CBP officers get killed on camera

It should be noted Wyoming pols are kicking around the idea of shrinking the state supreme court (which recently vacated two abortion bans).

Everything must be on the table.
@joshmallow.bsky.social is 1000% correct here. With this move, the GOP are without a doubt saying that court expansion is fine.

I did not support SCOTUS expansion until probably 2-3 years ago but I totally support it now and this makes clear, there are zero excuses next time we have the Senate!

It's extractive economies of consumption and deprivation all the way down.
It makes sense that the actually-real global cabal of powerful pedophiles made destroying USAID one of their first priorities.

They have to protect the global supply of profoundly desperate poor kids - that’s exactly who they target for trafficking and rape.

This is interesting.
DA Larry Krasner and I and seven other prosecutors have come together to form FAFO - The Fight Against Federal Overreach- a collaborative network for city and county prosecutors to confront federal overreach in our respective districts.
