Gallego to Hegseth: "You will never ever be half the man that Sen. Kelly is. You, sir, are a coward. And the fact that you are following this order from the president shows how big of a coward you are. I can't wait until you are no longer the secretary of defense."

What a night for US soccer leagues. NWSL final dramatic to the end. First MLS semifinal of weekend an extra time thriller…on to PKs.

Look, I know we're all sick of hearing "if this had happened with any other president ..." but it's absolutely true and absolutely can't be forgotten.

For some reason, this nation gives this idiotic spoiled brat a free pass from things that would destroy the administration of any other person.
When asked if there was anything "incriminating" in Epstein's emails, Trump pointed a finger in a female reporter's face and snapped. 'Quiet. Quiet, Piggy.'

Curtis Blair must not like Prince. He’s had a really rough night in Minneapolis tonight on the wolves home court. Call after call that have been quite iffy.

Goose. Bumps.
Good finish to 3rd. If Ant and Donte show up, and the refs start being professional, maybe Wolves pull this out. Been a struggle.

This is the dumbest review in the NBA. Rudy went through a screen. NBA refs continue to be the softest, most inconsistent officials in all pro sports. Really weak stuff.

They have a Jokic. We have a Prince Naz.

Phenomenal answer in a fun podcast live the other day in Minneapolis.
Chris Finch makes a joke about how being a podcaster qualifies you to be the head coach of the Lakers.

every time you think the new WaPo editorial board can't embarrass itself any more, they manage to find a way.

Left: 'Texas gerrymandering is no big deal!', from August.
Right: 'Maryland gerrymandering is an affront to Western civilization!', from today.

Have to give a shoutout to 112 Eatery in downtown Minneapolis. Had a party of 8 Thursday night, including 3 from out of town, and most of us our first time. Great service, great food, accommodated a bday. Place was full for most of the 3 hours we were there on both levels. Will definitely be back.

Her husband told her that detainees at Broadview had to get up at 5am to get in line for one bathroom. He often peed himself. One time he had to wait until 2pm to use the bathroom. You could only use the bathroom once a day. He said the agents would beat you if you used the bathroom on yourself.

BREAKING! Rupert Mannion has just endorsed Andrew Cuomo
November 4, 2025 at 2:12 AM
A bummer as I really liked his 1st half energy and play.
Dillingham with a few ugly plays here. Finch will sit him at the quarter break, I'd assume.

Two great passes into end zone by JJ. Addison couldn’t reel in the first. JJ catches the second to tie the game for Vikings. Decent start.

Rarely do you hear even I, the edgiest of online personalities, begin a post with "Barf." So it means a lot when the mild mannered environmentalists at our Sierra Club chapter are so disgusted with the Frey slate of candidates.
Barf. Here's the "Team Mpls" plan to “address climate change.” No mention of getting off fossil fuels. Nothing on electrification. Nothing on renewable energy, transit or building housing near transit. Just trees and carbon capture(?). This fluff could have been written by the Koch Bros (1/2)

Good grief. No one should have to live like this.
Indoor trick-or-treat events. Candy dropoffs. Neighbors patrolling with whistles.

Timberwolves were -12 in final minute of quarters 1 and 2 vs. Lakers. Did better in 3 and 4, but not good enough.
Only basket Lakers had in final 2:30 was the winner. 😬
the end of quarter stuff is getting to the point where it’s so consistent i want to start thinking if finch is responsible but i just can’t imagine he’s at practice saying “okay and when there’s 10 seconds left i want you all to suck really badly. play like total numbskulls”

Timberwolves observations:
Jaylen Clark will be huge this season. need his stout presence back in the rotation.
Missed 3 dunks vs. Lakers. Lost by 1.
When there was good D, Lakers got the roll for a bucket. Killer.
Donte off. foul late on fast break was just a dumb play.

Oof. Skattebo just fractured his ankle on that incompletion. Gross. Feel bad for him. Dart is not pleased either.

Today is Day 24 of the Republican shutdown. Your regular reminders:

1. Republicans control the White House, Senate and House.

2. GOP making deep cuts to Medicaid, Medicare and ACA.

3. Democrats are fighting to lower costs, cancel the cuts and save healthcare for Americans.
Trump’s priority is building a new White House ballroom.

Not you. Not your grocery bill. Not your healthcare.
Leavitt: At this moment in time, the ballroom is really the president's main priority.
