Simply obscene levels of largesse to spend on executives and less than nothing for student or staff welfare. ANU are sacking academics and professionals.

#AcademicSky #ANU @nteunion.bsky.social #Auspol
ANU spent $605,958 on Chancellor Julie Bishop’s office in a high-rise glass tower in Perth last year and $473,455 to the end of September this year. The university paid at least $800,000 for renovations to the office in 2021, and rent amounted to $15,000 a month. FFS!!

Well fuck that

I wish them luck but I don't know how their challenge is gonna go, in terms of them not having voting power and as such, shutting down their implied right to political communication doesn't effect the maintenance of representative democracy.

Yes, I'm new to #GenAI and still use pleasantries; No, I don't treat it in a sentient way (yet).

Voters trapping themselves in a cycle of low expectations, mediocrity and the status quo because politicians insist

How are those "shared values" going @albomp.bsky.social ? #auspol
Countries that have abortion access, DEI policies or protection for LGBTQ+ people will be considered “human rights violators“ by the Trump regime

Last night @davidpocock.bsky.social and I read onto the Hansard an interview by the President of Nauru that the Albanese Government has been desperately trying to keep secret.

It shows Nauru plans to send refugees to places they fled. No wonder the secrecy.
