Let’s get in to some good trouble!
We have sixteen year olds in Hillsboro, OR doing more and fighting harder for our democracy - while inspiring more to join in the fight nationwide - than our Senators are doing to fight for us under Schumer. He needs to go.

On Tuesday, Americans sent Democrats a resounding message.

“Fight for us”

“Fight for working class Americans”

“Fight against Trump’s corruption, criminality and cruelty”

5 days later, Democrat Senators sent Americans a resounding message.

“Nah”

American politics makes a lot more sense when you realize that the GOP is afraid of pissing off the GOP base, and the Dems are afraid of pissing off the GOP base, but neither party is afraid of pissing off the Dem base.

The contrast could hardly be sharper. My friends and neighbors, armed only with whistles and voices, spend their weekend fighting off heavily-armed paramilitary goons. Meanwhile, these jagoffs capitulate, but not before securing another $1 billion for their own security.

Illinois is currently under attack by armed and masked Federal goons - his entire State Government and all of the people of Chicago are fighting back so that this octogenarian can ignore all of the suffering and reality of what his constituents are experiencing to please the GOP.

Anyway a great way to radicalize people is for them to realize that you just abandoned their chance at being able to access and afford health care because you didn’t like waiting in line at the airport.

I will not support a deal that does nothing to make health care more affordable.

We are in a health care emergency. A simple one-year extension of these tax credits would cost less than Donald Trump’s $40 billion bailout for Argentina.

A vote for this bill is a mistake.

I'm honestly scared. A $600 unexpected expense wrecks me for a month. A THOUSAND DOLLARS A MONTH for the exact same healthcare IS NOT HAPPENING.

The average SNAP benefit per month is $177 a person.

The average ACA benefit per month is up to $550 a person.

People want us to hold the line for a reason. This is not a matter of appealing to a base. It’s about people’s lives.

And working people want leaders whose word means something to them.

Trump is 30 points underwater. Dems swept the special elections. People know the GOP is responsible for the shutdown. So the Dem Senators pulled out their big guns... and shot themselves in the foot.

Hassan: 67
Shaheen: 78
Durban: 80
Kaine: 67
King: 81
Rosen: 68
CCM: 61

Only one of these people is beneath Medicare age. They don’t care about your healthcare costs. Quit electing people who are beyond our own desired retirement age. It matters!
Dem ayes so far:
Hassan, Shaheen, Durbin, Kaine, CCM, King, Rosen

GOP nos:
Paul

One more D needed for 60 and Fetterman will be it.

It doesn't actually matter if Chuck Schumer votes for this or not.

If he can't keep his caucus unified to protect healthcare for over 10 million Americans, he should resign as leader.

Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

I feel more like this with every passing year.

We need a party that is committed to preserving, protecting & improving life. We don’t need people intent on endlessly negotiating how much humanity we deserve or if we deserve any at all.

We don’t need a society built around manufactured scarcity.
This pretty much sums up the entire ideological dispute between the two American political parties.

What they are arguing about, on almost all issues, is either methodology or magnitude. That is literally it.

The party of We Will Kill You vs the party of We Will Let You Die.
To be clear, Lindsey Graham, an American senator, has gone on the most popular Sunday morning current events show in the country and suggested that we drop nuclear bombs on Palestinians.

While they may differ in methodology, both parties agree that Palestinians should be eliminated.

What these caving Dems are really afraid of is Republicans blowing up the filibuster and making all future elections about healthcare for all and student loan forgiveness only needing simple majority passage. They suck the same teat as the Republican Trumpsters. Kick em out!
This is predatory capitalism. They gave tax breaks to billionaires so that folks could get bills like this for healthcare.
I thought my new health insurance premium was going to be $350 per month until I got this letter informing me that it would be $1,228.28 PER MONTH. I CURRENTLY PAY $50. Is my math mathing? Is that.... a 2,356.42% increase?

2256.42%????

TWO THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY SIX POINT FORTY TWO PERCENT😩

If anyone is confused, Kaine LOST to Trump as the VP candidate with Hillary and now he’s bending over to keep on screwing us all. These old Dems continually fail and suck and y’all keep giving them money and sending them back to screw us harder. Kick em out!
Surprisingly Sen. Warner (D-VA) is a no, splitting with Kaine after the Cave Caucus dangled the RIF prohibition.

He’s the leader - has been for as long as I can remember now. He’s condoning their votes. He needs to be ousted immediately! What a weak loser.
Senator Chuck Schumer of New York, the Democratic leader, just emerged from the closed-door meeting and said: “I’m voting no.”

Asked to explain his position, Schumer tersely said the American people “need healthcare.”

Democratic Senators hear about this and think, “Hmm everyone really hates this guy. We should help Republicans write him a blank check to fund him attacking our cities and people while cutting millions off healthcare.” Good look folks.

Literally any Democrat who votes for this needs to be primaried. Nobody should give the party a penny ever again. Donate only to specific candidates who don’t suck! I hate the Democratic Party with the greatest amount of disdain possible.
So damn disappointing.

Shutting down the government is a big deal. People have been hurt in big ways as a result of the decision. To have that suffering be for nothing—to re-open the government without actually having protected people’s health insurance and economic well-being—is unconscionable.
