if you're one person making a comic by yourself, don't treat yourself like you should function on the same level as comics that have multiple people working on them. your backgrounds can be squiggles and colors.

allow yourself room to be abstract with details and give yourself some grace

last week i remembered that macOS lets you set your own icons and that *I* have the power to delegitimize the professionalism of the software that runs on my machine, so here's a thread of the 16 new icons i've made so far

i really forgot how fun it was to just sit down and make art for myself :')

The people at Yorma‘s make their baguette sandwiches exactly as illustrated in Pokemon. 3 pieces of everything lined up neatly in a row, and all I can think of is how throwing the top bun half off screen gives you better results 😂

I find it darkly comical that the most vocal champions of free will so often use it to justify their laziness, complacency, and adherence to the path of least resistance. To explain every cruelty, avarice, and hatred that tempts them.

Show me your free will by doing difficult things and being kind.

Guys, as a ex call center employee, this is fucking DESPERATION BEHAVIOR.

Pizza and ice cream once may be an entire year's planned discretionary budget for a team, they do NOT value them enough to provide common comfort. If their doing this? Their not just scared, their TERRIFIED.
Spoke with a source who told me the call volume is so high, a call center for both Mastercard & Visa is bringing out pizza and ice cream so agents don’t quite amid the rush. Long waits are causing dropped calls.

What you’re doing is working. Call MC & Visa.

Apparently the dude's also made such predictions as "PC gaming is dead" in 2006, "office meetings will be taking place in Second Life," and "all games will need Metaverse integration." So, y'know, his belief all games will use generative AI is a great sign.

Funny it's only the EXECUTIVES who keep saying "AI" is inevitable and will be in everything. When it's developers, coders, writers, artists, independent creators, and smaller studios run by those people, they're somehow shockingly AGAINST using plagiarismbots that can't code, write, or draw.

"Obviously, all that the AI industry needs to git gud at art is:
A Stronger Button."
—this guy
I cannot stop laughing. This is so indicative of what's wrong with these AI people and how they view art
He ran into a wall where the "make art" button wasn't satisfying because it wasn't actually making good enough art, and instead of trying new things he just requests a stronger button

Apparently P*ypal now asks for customer opinions on accounts sending invoices.
If you are paying an invoice to a nsfw artist, do NOT mention NSFW in any way, keep it blank even. you risk both your account and the artists.

They're doing a bit of sleight of hand with the phrase "sex trafficking", as they always do.

Also noteworthy is that they apparently never turn anyone over to authorities or out anyone to communities. The company who knows everything also does nothing.

An ex-Meta employee testified that the tech company allowed 17 strikes before it suspended accounts for sex trafficking, court documents say.
