Actually since i posted this months ago, I am less inclined to think of this as an effective resistance strategy. This regime is looking for any excuse to gut gov't services, and my witholding tax only makes that easier for them.
Mr. Trump can say whatever he wants about Columbus Day/ Indigenous Peoples Day. I don't recognize him as the president either.

Happy #IndigenousPeoplesDay!

This is a good day to support Indigenous organizations that work hard every day to protect land and waters, to remedy longstanding inequities, and to decolonize. Please consider donating to Native-led nonprofits today.

A beautifully brutally honest post about what it's like to be on the frontlines of #Chicago right now, by a seasoned and skillful organizer.
"There just isn’t enough time. There’s only what we manage to make of it—what we build, what we protect, what we remember to carry to the car. The gas mask. The snacks. The question we forgot to ask. The name of the person taken." My latest.

This past week, for 3 days and nights people gathered at the Shrine of our Lady of Guadalupe in #SantaFe to read names of more than 65,000 Palestinians in #Gaza killed as well as the 800 civilians (Israeli + other nationalities) killed on Oct 7, 2023.

Unfathomable.

This must stop.

I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

I miss the days when ballparks weren't named after corporations.
I feel like last year's MLB playoffs happened just a few weeks ago. What a weird year this has been.

I agree with @stevenbeschloss.bsky.social, our government has become a place where there is no regard for human rights let alone human dignity.

The question posed in this article is “What kind of monsters grab children & take them outside without clothes?“ & then respond with “Fuck them kids.”?

I can’t believe I’m watching interviews of city mayors talking about how they are coordinating with other mayors to discuss how to protect their residents FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

I know we are “used to it” but it is absolutely insane

Two stories I hope to read soon: how Hegseth's agenda weakens the military and how people in the military are responding to that agenda.
like, the fact that they felt this spectacle was necessary is itself evidence that they don't have the military support that they want
