I know it's dark at 4:30 round here these days, but there is always light in the darkness.
Going to chuck it down across these islands over the coming week,
so don't forget your umbrella... 📢 *sirens wail* 📢

Watching Guy Martin: Proper Jobs and loving the narration by Guy Garvey. Also, I want an adventure spoon. I imagine it would come in handy in the motorhome.

Pleased to report that I was mentioned in dispatches on no.1 son's work project for my help in finding racing lube in Marseille for the winch on a cruise ship. #HappyToHelp

So sad to hear of the death of Mani from the Stone Roses. They produced one of the best debut albums ever, and set the pace for the Manchester indie scene. He always came across as a sound bloke, as we say round here. RIP to a phenomenal bass player. #StoneRoses

No.1 son continues to make me laugh. Y'day, a call from Marseille docks asking where he could get some type of industrial chain grease. A big of googling and a phonecall and I found some! We have a WhatsApp group entitled "son asks questions" for just this type of query. I never know what to expect!

Mind blown! Or mind Tango'd. The voice that did the tagline at the end of the "You know when you've been Tango'd!" ads, was that of Gil Scott-Heron.

‘People still blame me for their perforated eardrums’: how we made the Tango ads
‘Gil Scott-Heron did the closing voiceover. He was giggling away, saying, “You English guys are crazy!”’

James Bond should be like the Dread Pirate Roberts

there have been many James Bonds, there may even be multiple James Bonds existing at the same time without knowledge of the others (it's spycraft after all)

Same. Also Dubai chocolate is nice, but over hyped and overpriced. It's just a Ritter Sport with pistachio.
I am so sick of hearing about Dubai. I don't ever want to go. I went to the airport once on a stopover and the airport was a gigantic shopping mall and I was told "the rest of the place is just like that n all". Stop trying to make me go there, all ads. I don't wanna go on holiday to a slavery land!

2/ The Dutch newspaper reports that two memorial panels installed at the NAC were removed some time earlier this year. They commemorated African-American soldiers who helped liberate Europe from German occupation during World War II.

Unassailable logic:
In Icelandic we have 'Ókind' for monster. But the translation is un-sheep. So everything not a sheep is dangerous.

I cannot stress enough to you that pepper spray is illegal to possess, buy, or carry in the UK under the Firearms Act 1968. I strongly recommend anyone reading does not do this under any circumstances.
