Usually they show you to a small cubicle to remove your top and bra in and give you a thin gown to cover up. Then you sit there waiting. I recommend taking a large scarf or cardigan to drape across your shoulders while you wait just in case.

Morning all. I’ve been up for ages, honestly! Work free till Monday so tackling the housework. I enjoy the satisfaction of doing something physical; suits me more than sitting working all day. Son in the process of buying shared ownership flat. He’s shocked at all the costs: solicitor, searches etc

I was still living in London then. Remember seeing the news and being shocked. Now I live not far from Lewes and am amazed when I visit by the markers showing how high the flood waters reached – mind boggling when you look at the river now.

2/2 What concerns me is that she will be discharged without long enough monitoring & with a 10 month wait until ablation is possible & we’re back to square one.

It’s a hellhole there (staff doing their best etc )

Have you ever donated together? My son and I occasionally end up in sync and when we do, we race to see who’s donation is completed the fastest. He usually wins but only by a second or two. It passes the time and makes for a lot of chat with the staff and other donors.

My son is O- too, they love him. I’m A- and my blood seems popular in neonatal units which makes me very happy.

It’s shocking how much head-in-the-sand behaviour there is around Covid. The two current variants seem particularly nasty yet there’s precious little publicity. I home your dad stays free of the virus and it clears up in the care home asap 🤞
