Feels like the only posts of mine that go viral are the ones with my northern lights photography. So if you're interested in chasing lights in Iceland with a scientist on a side quest one evening, let me know.

We can talk about Kp v Hp, solar cycles, aurora ovals, all of it!

The amount of private equity and venture capital involvement is inversely proportional to common sense business decisions. Panera Bread not even baking their bread anymore lmao.
Once the top U.S. fast-casual chain, Panera has dipped to number three, falling behind Chipotle and Panda Express.

Now, to try to win back consumers, the chain plans to reinvest in the business and undo many previously implemented cost-cutting measures, it said Tuesday.

If only there were some sort of marketplace, perhaps online, where people could compare insurance plans and choose one for themselves. Perhaps with some financial assistance for those who need it….
Cassidy: "If she goes and gets 2 types of shampoo & one is a dollar cheaper, she'll get the cheaper one & the other lowers their price. Once you give her the power of making the decision, she's gonna shop -- that begins to save her money and squeezes waste out of the healthcare system."

Your attention, your time, your energy, your focus, your creativity, especially undivided and uninterrupted, is a gift.

Undivided and uninterrupted focus and attention, directed at another, is so rare that many will mistake it for affection, even love.

The financial tv pundits breathlessly talk about 50 yr mortgages. The gap between my age & median homebuyer age keeps widening. On HGTV a forever home is for always for able-bodied adults in a nuclear family w/ young children. Nobody ages. MIL apartments are illegal in many jurisdictions.
The median age of all U.S. homebuyers is now 59 years old.

Just 15 years ago, it was 39 years old.

This isn't something you should spend more than three minutes worrying about. The solution is simple:

1) Put your easiest-to-slip-on shoes next to your bed every night.
2) (bonus points) Put the best spare shoes near the exit.
3) (extra-credit bonus round) Bag-of-shoes, all sizes, near the door.

IIRC, the FEMA guy said that if he sees a naked guy with shoes on, and a shirt-and-trousers guy going barefoot, he'll bet on the naked guy every time. Even in winter.

If no one’s feelings are wrong? Then you and the Dems would have a much clearer message to tell us

And the message would not be “uhm sure this feels bad but we have bigger fish to fry.. enjoy your sky rocketing premiums”
No one’s feelings are wrong. That’s not my point. We’re in a real battle, against a corrupt and malevolent foe, with huge stakes. We must win.

Jeff Zucker never let the footage from The Apprentice see the light of day, suppressing it even while he was the executive at CNN
The key factor that everyone seems to always forget is that Trump was the host of what was once the highest rated show on network TV - a purportedly non-fiction show that portrayed him as a hyper-savvy and hyper-successful businessman.
Trump has gotten huge numbers of infrequent voters to the polls, twice. He's deeply unpopular but has mobilized a large, unprecedented coalition of Americans motivated by some combination of ignorance, avarice, and cruelty. It is hard to describe what he has as something other than charisma

This is so beautifully stated. Thank you. Seriously.
You believe someone whose family members back home were killed directly as a result of Dick Cheney's actions, has piss poor morals for celebrating the death of him?

I think you're overlooking what a horrific impact Cheney's actions had on real peoples' lives, and overvaluing contrived civility
