My family pleading with me to stop listening to Chumbawamba every minute of the day, as I once again queue up Anarchy and Slap with a manic grin on my tortured face.
New Album List Entry!

2025 albums #70

Reneé Rapp is more open with her audience and herself than ever, and the result is some catchy pop that mostly keeps its head above the water in a constant stream of similar talent. In at 485.

One of the first bits of video game music I ever heard and STILL complete magic to me. A happy birthday to the greatest of all time.
The Hine/Haberlin era of Spawn may as well be a different comic entirely to what came before, but it's also... maybe the best part of the series up to that point? More human, but still violent and weird.
I can't speak to in-app, but kindle volumes of formerly simulpubbed works are crisper. Ironically it's Shueisha selling WSJ as opposed to a simul library that lends itself to their editions looking great weekly and in-volume.

In the second half of the author profiles of the Jump Multi World 1993 booklet they feature some of their up-and-coming creators.
The first being, Yuko Asami, one of their few female artists who had their "Ten Yori Takaku!" manga cancelled in 1992.

“I'm an invite-era poster! Discover tab tricks don't work on me! Only mutuals!"
Lol I didn't realise but this specific page has some major trivia regarding its background, what're the odds.
A day ending in Y, another instance of me being frustrated by how much our English-language apps compress the shit out of art, at least for simulpubs.

No idea if this’ll capture here but it’s BRUTAL
I mostly read the Japanese volume release to cover extras and the odd bit of ‘did they really say that’ investigation (not to criticise translation, but to understand how creative our pro freelancers are having to be), but every now and then you get actual art corrections! From chapter 1:

Rounding up my research on recent Jump flop Embers ahead of the SF episode spotlighting it, and I gotta say these covers go HARD. In an alternate universe where this blew up you could do a sick embossed treatments on these.
Oh not at all, I'm glad for the thought
Oh, absolutely, but outside of making it a default setting it can be hard to contemplate when dumping emotions into the void.

But then this is all a selfish thought, anyway. Lots I could do to accommodate or circumvent, but it's about not wanting to. The complications of the human heart, haha.
This is a selfish thought, I realise, but the catharsis of acknowledging in a public space that brain no good is powerful, and hampered by the performance of niceness. I'm not nice in those moments, I'm miserable. Let the whatever I am be miserable out loud.
I want to feel more able to post aimlessly about being depressed/having a depressive episode without the obligation to entertain responses by well-meaning well-wishers. I like that they care but sometimes I just want to write down that I feel like shit without having to like responses or say thanks.
I was kicking myself for not being able to fit Coheed in, so very glad that you've got them front and centre!

People say anime is weird these days when suddenly a remake it announced for that show based on the manga about dudes with ugly faces who form a club for dudes with ugly faces but then a girl is a tiny bit nice to them. It had 86 episodes.
I hope that you, too, end up looping this fifty times before bed
Never mind coworker music, I love it when it turns out your coworker *makes* music and it's actually pretty good!
Happy new PARTYOF2 album day!

Alternately, a happy Last Dinner Party album day.
