Please don’t scroll past this.
I’m a mother in Gaza, and my daughter Alma is growing weaker from hunger and sickness.
Each night she asks me for food I don’t have.
Your kindness could give her a meal, warmth, or a chance to keep fighting.
If your heart still feels, please help us survive.
»I listen to Alma cries every night,
knowing I cannot give her the food
she begs for
Her tiny body is suffering from hunger
& fear fills my heart as she grows weaker
Your donation no matter how small could save her
from the hunger consuming her«
_ Amal

Some of you point out that the big players have used various tricks to keep their own $ safe. True.

That's why we need to think about how to prosecute them for fraud.

Those bubble-inflating claims - AI will cure all disease! end climate change! double lifespans! - are essentially Theranos X 1000.
The AI bubble may be about to bust.

Peter Thiel has sold all of his Nvidia stock.

We all need to say this very clearly:

NO BAILOUTS FOR THEFT-TECH!

Expropriate their asses instead.

They stole from all of us and fully plan to burn the planet.

They owe us - not the other way around. 1/3

I have a series of new glass mini wreaths in the shop. They're gorgeous on Christmas trees but also look great as wall hangings. $50.

I'm going to be adding more new stuff over the next few days as my health allows and will give 10% of this weekend's sales to the Roadrunner Food Bank.

The real choice, no matter how much Senators wish it weren't:

"Unfortunately, making things better for the American people coming out of this shutdown is probably not an option. Either Trump makes things worse with Democratic affirmation, or Trump makes things worse despite Democratic opposition."
Opinion | Democrats shouldn’t bail out Trump as the shutdown drags on
The best time for the opposition to take a stand, rather than settle for untrustworthy promises, is right now.

it's utterly wild how the Heritage Foundation president talks about other people

We’ll still be sending out the money raised to help folks with groceries. We’re working to identify more folks who are not getting this relief where they live.
Help is on the way for families who rely on SNAP/WIC benefits to help feed their families: the
DC Government will use $30 million in contingency funds to ensure benefits are paid in November despite the federal government shutdown.

What we're seeing with the SNAP funding issue is that when we are unorganized then we pose no political challenge or threat. The politicians aren't scared of unorganized people.

As if it weren’t the gop weakening unions. Interesting thread!
JD Vance claims that diversity weakens unions, as people end up distrusting each other and not organizing.

Let me tell you two menswear stories related to this claim. 🧵
