Italian voice actor Carlo Bononi was the voice of all of the characters on Pingu. A trained clown by trade, he used a theater technique called grammelot, which consists of "speaking" in a mix of babbled gibberish noises. He improvised all the voices live and unscripted.

I think we’ve got better and more culturally-varied street food than I could have imagined, cool jackets galore, and drugs that make us think we’re really fast and strong before they kill us.
we're getting all the downsides of cyberpunk (social alienation, ruthless hyper capitalism, digital mass surveillance state) but none of the promised upsides (cheap street food, cool jackets, super drugs that make you really fast and strong before they kill you)

Social media and the Internet are absolutely crucial technologies for marginalised communities and especially young individuals who otherwise would spend their adolescence feeling isolated and wrong. Which I can attest to because that was my adolescence under Section 28. And the OSA reinforces that.

On MLK Day, it’s important to remember why MLK Jr. was in Memphis when he was assassinated. He was there to support Black sanitation workers striking for better working conditions and higher wages. This, for me, a critical moment in the emergence of the environmental justice movement.

So I just read 3 Steve Yegge blog posts trying to work out what he's been up to and as far as I can tell he has found an entirely new form of AI-induced psychosis — he created an entire corporate town of AI coding minions for him to be the dictator of, complete with his own Stasi to help him rule.

Honestly, I think this one worked out well. Love any feedback. Source in comments
