i struggle with a brain that wants to stiffly copy whatever reference i'm using and one thing i've found helpful:
1. draw big blocky shapes over the reference
2. turn off ref and redraw big blocky shapes
3. draw in figure with big blocky shapes overlaid
Traducir post photo of model posing as an elegant elf woman that ive blocked out with a chunky red brush in a separate window ive redrawn the red blocks, then have drawn details over the red blocks, using the photo+red transparency as reference final doodle of the figure drawing without the red blocking

So either the EHRC lied in our FOI request and have not done one, or they are also trying to withhold the Equality Impact Assessment from Parliament. /1

A Whitehall source said: “Unfortunately this looks like the EHRC deflecting – they still haven’t sent ministers the information requested in order to assess the draft code. The EHRC should be cracking on with their job, not giving lectures on timing while government still awaits their material” 🔥

Note the absence of mentioning that they quietly withdrew their interim guidance Before the new Code was implemented.

Can't have Parliament wondering if that's because of widespread national and international condemnation.

Also likely devotee or coercion target of Morgan McSweeney, having taken at least £10,000 from his think-tank Labour Together (more than her other publicly-declared donators combined) during the general election.

Lola McEvoy of Darlington, majority 2298, showed up for photos at Pride but has never once so much as mentioned trans or LGBT+ people and is co-chair of the self-congratulatory Labour Growth Group as well as a fierce proponent of the dangerous Online Safety Act and digital ID policies.

7. When Eliason re-ran the numbers correctly, the trend line flipped entirely, showing that the share of students identifying as neither male nor female had increased, not decreased. Kaufmann’s analysis, in other words, didn’t reveal a cultural shift—it revealed statistical malpractice.

1. Many of you have seen a graph purporting to show trans identification has decreased in recent years.

Matt Walsh and Elon Musk celebrated it as a victory over "transgenderism."

Turns out, the entire graph is based on an egregious math and statistics error.

Fact Check: No, There Is Not A New Survey Showing Trans Identity Is Decreasing
The claim, which originates from far-right professor Eric Kaufmann, appears to have made a glaring error: the survey actually shows more people have come out, not fewer.

Long story short, an actual Nazi doxxing ring. Enough people reported them that they went away for like 12 hours and then Elon personally brought them back. The site is dead. If you’re still on there, go lock your account right now

Had a rare occasion this morning hitting notification cap on Facebook, the day after a new article released about the Darlington Nurses sham suit. Very comforting to know the local bigots, loud as they are, are objectively a tiny minority.

Had a few days this past week where I've woken up to one social media platform or another having maxed-out notifications. Always makes my heart sink when I see it.

Fortunately thus far it's been because I often have correct opinions & can express them clearly. Which is to say, So many likes. 😄

"The EHRC’s exclusionary interim guidance has had a devastating impact on trans people’s lives"

“Now the guidance has been withdrawn, so should the exclusionary policies that organisations rashly implemented in its aftermath. If not, they could find themselves in hot water.”
EHRC withdraws interim guidance encouraging trans exclusion
After six months of confusion and delay, the EHRC has taken down interim guidance rushed out in April. But the damage has already been done.

Here's a T. Rex bored to death trying to bite their own tail. My partner asked me to animate it in stop motion, after she watched a video about the very important topic of "could T. Rex chew its own tail like a dog". The puppet is still a work in progress 🦖

Episode 3 opens with the kids actively discussing how odd and inappropriate their names and bodies are, this Has to be going somewhere.

Also episode 2 features a Literal "eat the rich" scene 👍

I feel like there's an implicit "How do you do fellow students?" element to the fact that like half of the main cast of Alien: Earth are canonical pre-teens played by grown adults.

OpenAI’s strategy is very clear, it’s trying to get people - especially young people - so reliant on its products intellectually & emotionally (& now sexually!) that going without them becomes unthinkable. And they need signs of that strategy working to keep the funding flowing in

Spent all day reading briefs in Louisiana v. Callais and watching white people argue that the 14th amendment is a race-neutral colorblind amendment and citing Plessy for that proposition has me so angry. Just.. come the fuck on.

The Reconstruction Amendments were not intended to be race-neutral.

Just so everyone is clear, the main issue in the Supreme Court voting rights case tomorrow is whether it's racist against white people to enforce the Voting Rights Act.

I'm dead serious. We live in incredibly stupid times.

I'm barely more than an episode in so hopefully there's some grand intention behind it eventually because otherwise it's just... really uncomfortable for 8 episodes.
