if I ever god forbid get into 40k (I already have three hobbies I neglect I don't need a fourth) my first idea for an army is "what if an entire Astra Militarum regiment defected to the Tau as auxiliaries". No idea if it would be play-legal or not but it's fun to think about.

About a month ago, the Trump administration got rid of the de minimis exemption, whereby packages valued under $800 could slide in without import duties. Now there's a backlog as the government can't process all of this paperwork, leading to UPS just destroying packages

Business Insider headline reads: UPS is telling customers that their packages coming to the US are marked for destruction.

But Vance is a jerk and a blatant manipulator with no charisma and no willingness to play the game. No viewers want to hear him, so why put up with it? They get better responses telling him to shove it! Trump has a love/hate relationship with media and Vance just hates it, and they hate him back.

I think it’s that Trump is someone who is unpredictable and they know he’s going to say something they can call newsworthy, and as a showman he wants to engage them and give them a story. And they know that story is going to sell clicks one way or another.

Rem says "I'll check the walls, maybe there's a torch we can use. In panel 2, Rem is holding an unlit torch. He shouts "Found it!" and Nix holds up a piece of tinder and a flint. She says "Good. I got some tinder on me, I'll light it." In panel 3, the torch is lit, and Nix is seen looking at a masked person in the dark. She simply says "Oh."

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

It's like a supremely evil version of an American urban planner looking at Dutch policy re: bike lanes to see if and how it can be implemented in their city. The technical workings, the bureaucracy. They looked at American oppression, just as they looked at British, French, and most of all German.

God I hate this. The closest thing to "true" is that some of the actual *structures of oppression* were influenced in part by the structures implemented in the US, but people claim that the US made Germany into Nazis and that's just not true! It was homegrown, with a clear, traceable German history!

"the feds do not distinguish between local cops and protesters when aiming tear gas" feels like a pretty apt example of this. They have such fundamental disregard for the whole of the American public that they're attacking their backup too!

Yeah, the optimistic hope I have is that this guy might be going "well now we can 'guarantee' there's no fraud, so we can trust future elections" when there wasn't any fraud to begin with, and no outcome is actually changed. Although that's optimistic, so it's damn good there's still safeguards.
