China is barely ahead, but the fact that China's popularity is similar to the US tells you how much things have shifted in the last year. I also strongly suspect that China is continuing to rise and the US is continuing to decline in popularity.

IMO there shouldn't be ANY permanent seats or veto power on the Security Council. SC seats should be elected by the general assembly.
