Keeper's morphs are authored as scene-graph or more specifically as a scene-tree, which is evaluated bottom-up. I wrote a “compiler” which turns the tree into a command list which can be executed on the GPU. The compiler does a fair amount of optimization (e.g. dead branch pruning) to minimize cost.

RIP "Burger" Becky Heineman. You were so friendly, sweet and welcoming to a young Canadian whelp who didn't know anyone and just wanted to make video games.

Please play an Interplay game and eat an affordable cheeseburger in her honour.

It's been awhile, but Use Your Words 2 is out on PC, Xbox & PlayStation! While I didn't have as much to do with it this time around, Vellocet Games worked hard to bring new life to my & @brentalfloss.bsky.social's baby

So if you fancy yourself a comedian (or an unfunny friend), go give UYW2 a whirl

I made a “how do you do, fellow kids?” joke to someone in their mid 20s who, it turns out, was too young to have heard of that meme.

So “how do you do, fellow kids?” is now an example of “how do you do, fellow kids?”

Here we go again. PREDATOR: BADLANDS is awesome, yet I see a bunch of people talking about box office numbers rather than about the movie itself--which is what really matters. Fucking brain rot, seriously. You fuckers don't deserve movies, fucking bean counters.

In a rare YouTube algorithm win, tonight I got recommended the videos of @lauriewired.bsky.social, and I am absolutely hooked.

I'm three videos in and I don't think there's a more entertaining, interesting, or charismatic coding YouTuber out there.

Her recent IOCCC video is a standout!

The job of being a game Producer, a GOOD Producer, looks very difficult to me.

You have to make room for several contradictory things all to be true at the same time:

Among the many things we lost with the move to streaming and away from DVDs, one that often gets overlooked is the surreal sensation of dozing off in the middle of a movie only to be jolted awake 40 minutes later by the blast of library music playing in an endless loop over the main menu.

in the 1990s videogame magazines had ads like this but it was literally exactly like this complete with the food and jeans leaving you trying to figure out what game it was advertising, then at the bottom in fine print it'd say aero the acrobat and something jarringly sexist for absolutely no reason
