In the early 90s San Francisco was filled with wonder and optimism about technology. We had old and new hippies, ravers and househeads, coders, and freaks all contributing to what seemed like a holistic humanist wave of innovation. It was a special time.

If you're taking to the streets to protest today, know your rights.

"KNOW YOUR PROTEST RIGHTS
You don’t need a permit to protest in response to breaking news and you don’t need a permit to march in the streets or along sidewalks, as long as you’re not obstructing traffic or access to buildings.
When you are lawfully present in any public space, you have the right to photograph anything in plain view, including federal buildings and the police.
If you believe your rights have been violated, when you can, write down everything you remember, get contact information for witnesses, and take photographs of any injuries.
If you get stopped by the police, ask if you’re free to go. If they say yes, calmly walk away.
If you get arrested, you have a right to ask why. Otherwise, say you wish to remain silent and ask for a lawyer immediately. Don’t sign, say or agree to anything without a lawyer present.

Maybe pointless but why don't the Democratic members of the House just be present in the chamber until the Speaker decides to do something?

Make speeches, control the mic and the narrative. Expose their lies.

We're not going to legislate our way out of this but at least it's something.

There are plenty of UI problems with macOS 26 but to be fair, this is an issue with the apps themselves not updating to the new windows.

I think we really should stop using antifa and just fully say anti-fascist and get them saying they are against anti fascism. Using antifa is giving them some distance and I genuinely think some of their base don’t even know that’s what it stands for.

Please stop setting `width: 100vw` on the `body`.

It's unnecessary. By default, the `body` stretches horizontally as much as necessary.

It's problematic. Setting `width: 100vw` on it can cause overflow even if you remove the default `margin`... because the page may have a scrollbar.
