i was talking about it with a friend earlier trying to clarify my thoughts because i often say learned helplessness is a disease which i feel like is a core part of my politics in that to me the human condition is action, growth, and change, so stagnation is self-dehumanization, which is very bad!

few ideas have damaged the average psyche more than ‘the customer is always right.’ it should be a little bit humiliating, being a customer. you should walk into any service transaction knowing that the other person, and not you, is in control over whether you get your treats

People don't need more evidence to conclude he's a white supremacist. Evidence isn't the issue here. The problem is convincing people that white supremacy is a threat rather than something they can elide and quietly benefit from without actually saying they like it.

the more i think about it, bari weiss running CBS is direct proof there’s not really a meritocracy in any real way under capitalism. the opposite is true in this system, failing upwards is the default the more a country becomes an oligarchy

Democrats don't want to rein in ICE or police because they support both. They would much rather fight to protect the handouts to their large corporate donors in the healthcare industry while pretending it's because they care about the little man.

gavin newsom sucks so much, every time you ever hear about him he's vetoing a bill that was incredibly necessary for workers or the environment or else he's going on some podcast to throw trans people under the bus. sure, he yelled at trump, but only to agree with him about police & homeless people.
