Gaming Halloween in full swing, wow! I ran The Magus by @momatoes.com for the Paradice Halloween Special at Hauptbücherei Wien.

My table was all newbies who were amazed that the session was entirely improvised, just based on the Oracle Deck. We had a blast, no notes!

Created for Chaosium. A black and white inked and toned lineup of five Gloranthan adventurers, wearing bronze age outfits and armor inspired by etruscan, scythian and sumerian clothing and technology. There are three men, alla bout the same height, with beards and long hair, and two women, one shorter in scaled maille with a braid, and one taller, in religious dress, with full etruscan hairstyle including crimped curls and a headband. All have tattoos showing gloranthan runes.

Fiasco. Showed me that zero prep GMless one shots were possible. Role-playing with no boring parts, what? Mind blown!

And then Fate and Apocalypse World, which showed me that real people I could meet can make games that I love. And that I could be one of them.

I painted this warrior woman with my non-dominant hand when I had to turn down a fun art job shortly after arm surgery; I needed to prove that I could still paint, albeit way, way slower at that time, and I'm still so proud of her!
